The Life of the Beloved: Shining

The Sundays after Epiphany are not a “season” but part of Ordinary time – the numbered Sundays. This year, we are gathering the five Sundays between the Epiphany and Ash Wednesday into a series called “The Life of the Beloved.” We will be thinking about how we experience Christ, how Christ was revealed to us in the person of Jesus, and how our reception of Christ forms us into the body that God has called to implement and incorporate the Way of Christ – forgiveness, generosity, hospitality, liberation, and justice – into the life of the world. Our mission is not just for those we know or those who also seek to follow this Way. Rather it is for the sake of the cosmos – all of creation – that we endeavor to be the body. Today the action we take to live into the Way of Jesus is Blessing.
