Awakening The Pipe Organ

Today we re-awaken and re-consecrate our Austin pipe organ. Although it began in Canada in 1893, and moved to Boston 5 years later, the Austin Organ company has been making pipe organs since 1899 in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Pioneer organ was built in 1925 on Woodland Street in Hartford and was installed in its new home the following year. Funds for the purchase of the organ were provided by the Ladies Aid Society for $8,000!
